 Sunday School Classes:
Godly Play is for children 4 years old to 4th grade.  #JesusSquad is for youth 5th - 8th grade.  The Den is for youth 9th - 12th grade.  Calendars of Sunday school dates will be available in the parish hall.

The Vestry decided that the first Sunday of every month there will be an offering taken for a charity. On December 3 the offering will be for Bethesda Food Pantry. Please make your checks out to St. John’s and put Emergency Residence Project in the memo line.

We invite you to our international Nine Lessons and Carols 10am service on Sunday, December 10, 2017 at St. John’s By the Campus Episcopal Church.
In addition to congregational singing of carols from the 1982 Hymnal, the St. John’s Singers will sing anthems.

The YSS Giving Tree should be arriving this week (Sunday, November 19).  The tags are on the tree and the signup sheet is there with it.
Gifts will need to be returned on Sunday, December 3.  If you do not have time to bring them to St. John’s by Sunday, December 3, you will need to take them to Youth and Shelter Services (420 Kellogg).  YSS will be here to pick up the gifts on ... more

Greening of the Church
On November 26th we will be Greening St. John’s.
The Altar Guild will meet at 2:30
The rest of us will start with a potluck with wine at 5:30pm. We will be decorating the sanctuary and tree in the parish hall as we prepare for the season of Advent.

The search committee and Vestry met together with the Diocesan Transitions Officer, the Rev. Daughters of the King News The Daughters of the King requests that you update us, monthly, of any changes in “Prayer Requests” that you have made. Some of the youth from St. John’s, and from St. Timothy's in West Des Moines, are in the process of planning and doing fundraisers for a pilgrimage that is set for July next year. During this fall we will be collecting cans and bottles with the five cent deposit available on them for recycling in order to raise money for the trip.

If you are parking in St. John’s parking lot, please be sure that you get ahold of me so I can give you a parking sticker for your car.  When cars are in the parking lot without a sticker they could be towed.
