St. John's provides office and meeting space for the Stork's Nest program which offers education, support and much needed supplies to young, expectant mothers. Please speak with Father Al if you have any questions about St. John's involvement with Stork's Nest.
In 2011, St. John's Deacon Don Payer retired from serving as Chaplain of the Story County Jail. Please speak with Don if you would like to know more about this ministry in which he served for so long.
St. John's Habitat for Humanity of Central Iowa (HFHCI) representative and contact person is Ed Gillott. Please contact him if you have any questions about this ministry. There are partnership opportunities: prayer; donations (financial or building materials, tools etc); sponsor or cosponsorship of a house; join the Carpenter's Club and there are volunteer opportunities: help with a construction project (16 years or older); supervise a construction site; serve meals for workers; help in the HFHCI office, join one of the organizations committees.
